Cold Crabby: a free 3D printer slicer that runs in your browser
Drop in an STL, OBJ or 3MF file, pick your printer, and download print-ready G-code. The whole slicer runs inside the page, compiled to WebAssembly, so there is nothing to install, no account to make, and your model never leaves your device. It works the same on a laptop, a desktop computer or an iPad.
Cold Crabby is an application and needs JavaScript to run. Turn JavaScript on and reload the page, or read the getting started guide first.
What it does
- Build plates with several models, arranged for you automatically
- Variable-width walls (Arachne) or classic fixed-width perimeters
- Rectilinear, grid, honeycomb, gyroid and TPMS-D infill
- Supports, including ones you paint on by hand, plus brims, rafts and ironing
- Spiral vase mode, and printing parts one at a time
- G-code for Marlin and Klipper, with your own start and end scripts
- A preview of the real toolpaths, coloured by role, speed, flow or temperature
The same slicer everywhere you print
The engine in this page is the one in the desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux, the iPad app and a self-hosted server, so a model sliced in one gives the same G-code in the next. The desktop app and a server can also send the file to a Klipper printer through Moonraker and start the print, which a browser tab cannot do.
